According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple has contemplated releasing a brand-new, premium iPhone alongside the Pro and Pro Max models in 2024 at the earliest. This timeline indicates that the product would be an iPhone 16 or later.
Gurman stated that there was "potential" for an iPhone 15 Ultra to take the place of the iPhone 15 Pro Max this year in a September 2022 issue of his weekly "Power On" newsletter. However, he speculates in his newsletter for today that Apple may introduce the Ultra as a new, more expensive, high-end model no later than next year.

But Gurman added, "Apple could put an even higher-end iPhone above both Pro versions instead of dubbing the Pro Max 'the Ultra. Internally, the business has spoken about carrying it out, perhaps in time for the 2024 iPhone launch.
The upcoming high-end model's distinction from the Pro and Pro Max is unclear, although Gurman theorized that it would have more camera upgrades, a quicker chip, a bigger display, and possibly a portless design sans Lightning or USB-C. He said that it would cost "more" than the $1,099 starting price of the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
